Topic: people.redhat.com repositories missing

I just tried to update a server running php54scl and noticed that everything under http://people.redhat.com/rcollet/ is now gone. Where did it go? I was also using the php55scl packages as well. It was nice to run 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5 at the same time.

Re: people.redhat.com repositories missing

Sorry, but I cannot keep this repository.

Package are not from RH so cannot use /opt/rh as this is not compliant with FHS and could be ambiguous for users.

So you have to stay with official RHSCL (or CentOSSCL). And ask your Red Hat sale contact if you need more stuff.

For additional packages, I have to follow Guidelines for a "dependent" collection. But those are so complex and messy, that all things just become unusable, and need much more work.

Perhaps a solution will be to create another new repository, will all this stuff in /opt/remi...

Again sorry, but I don't have found, yet, a simple way to provides "usable" SCL packages.

Remi.

Re: people.redhat.com repositories missing

Hi Remi,

can we have SRPM packages wich was there please?

I want to compile them for my personal use for development and testing puropse.

Thank you in advance and /salute for the good job that you are doing for the comunity

Re: people.redhat.com repositories missing

Sorry, but those SRPM are unusable (lot of hardcoded /opt/rh),
so you have to use ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/e … SCL/SRPMS/

Re: people.redhat.com repositories missing

Looks like CentOS is providing a bunch of the RH SCLs, info here: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResour … tories/SCL

The only place I saw PHP55-SCL was in that people.redhat.com repository. Is there somewhere else I can get a copy of that?
