Topic: php-pecl-geoip update?

Was wondering if there are plans to update:
php-pecl-geoip.x86_64   1.0.8-6.el6.remi.5.4   @remi

As pecl-geoip has had an update (1.1.0) that added support for geoip_netspeedcell_by_name(), geoip_asnum_by_name(), geoip_domain_by_name(), and bug/mem fixes:
http://pecl.php.net/package/geoip

Those new functions are especially useful because of the recent update of:
GeoIP.i686   1.5.1-5.el6   epel

Which introduced the new MaxMind databases including IPv6, ASN support.

PS:

yum --disablerepo "*" --enablerepo "remi" list available

no longer shows php-pecl-geoip in remi repo anymore?

Thanks.

Re: php-pecl-geoip update?

Stable repositories:
remi / remi-php55 repositories provide pecl/geoip 1.0.8 "stable" version

# yum list php-pecl-geoip
php-pecl-geoip.x86_64 1.0.8-6.el6.remi.5.4 remi

Unstable repositories:
remi-test / remi-php56 repositories provide pecl/geoip 1.1.0 "beta" version (for php 5.5 and 5.6)

# yum list php-pecl-geoip
php-pecl-geoip.x86_64 1.1.0-1.el6.remi.5.6 @remi-php56

As soon a "stable" version will be released, it will be available in the stable repo.

Perhaps you can ask upstream about this ?

Remi.
